CHICKEN Manchurian Gravy Recipe | How to make Chicken Manchurian Gravy

Ingredients for the marination:


  • 500 g boneless chicken (cut into small bite-size pieces) 

  • 1 tbsp ginger - garlic paste 

  • Salt to taste 

  • Pepper to taste 

  • 1 tsp soy sauce 

  • 1 tsp sesame oil 

  • 3 tbsp corn-starch 

  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour 

  • 1 egg 

  • Oil for deep frying 


Manchurian Gravy:


  • 2 tbsp sesame oil 

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped 

  • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped 

  • 2 - 3 green chillies 

  • 1 large red onion 

  • 1 large green bell pepper 

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce 

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce 

  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce 

  • 1 tbsp red chilli sauce 

  • 1/2 tsp vinegar 

  • Salt to taste 

  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder 

  • 4 tbsp corn-starch  

  • 3/4 cup water 

  • Spring onion

  

Method:  


  1. Rinse and cut the chicken into small bite-size pieces. 

  2. Beat the egg and keep that aside. Add the chicken, ginger- garlic paste, salt, pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil, corn starch, all-purpose flour, and egg in a large bowl. 

  3. Mix well to coat all the chicken pieces and let the chicken rest for 10 minutes. 

  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the chicken until it turns golden in colour. 

  5. Remove the chicken and set it aside.  

  6. Mix corn-starch with water and keep that aside. 

  7. Now Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ginger, garlic, green chilli, and sauté it for a few seconds. 

  8. Now add the red onions along with the green peppers, sauté.  

  9. Add the soya sauce, oyster sauce, tomato sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar, salt, and chilli powder 

  10. Mix well and cook for a minute. 

  11. Add the corn-starch mixture, stir & cook for 2 - 3 minutes on low heat. 

  12. Now add the fried chicken pieces and spring onions to the gravy, mix well, and coat all the pieces evenly.  

  13. Serve hot with rice.
